Ring Sizing Guide

The right ring size is crucial for a special moment like a wedding. The ring should be tight enough not to fall off, but loose enough to slip over your knuckle. The time of day and the weather conditions influence the measurement: early morning or cold weather makes the fingers thinner, whereas warm weather makes the fingers swell. The best time to measure your fingers is in the evening. If you are not sure which size to choose, always choose the larger size. If your knuckle is larger than the base of your finger, measure it and the base of your finger and choose a size in between. It is always a good idea to measure your finger several times throughout the day. If the ring is a surprise, you can ask a friend or family member or you can secretly borrow one of their rings and go to a jeweller to find out the size. Please also remember that the right and left hands are different, as are the finger sizes.

Usual ring sizes

We understand that it can be difficult to accurately choose the correct ring size on the internet, especially if it is intended as a gift.

If you wish to give a ring as a gift and are unsure of what size to order, you may opt for the usual ring size ordered and return it to us for adjustment within 60 days of receiving your product. The average ring size varies between 52/54 for women and 60/62 for men.

Tips for measuring the ring size

  • Weather conditions may result in an inaccurate measurement of your finger size. Your fingers will be smaller when your hands are cold, while they will be larger when your hands are very warm.
  • Measure your finger at average temperatures, preferably at the end of the day when your fingers are no longer swollen. So if you want to order a ring that is about 6 mm wide or more, add one size to your normal finger size.
  • In addition, rings with large stones can cause the ring to pry when laid flat. We advise you to always order the next size up, as it is slightly deformed.
  • If your knuckle is larger than the base of your finger, measure your knuckle and the base of your finger and select the size in between. Your ring should be tight enough not to fall off and loose enough to slide over your knuckle.
  • If you are not sure which size to choose, always choose the larger size. Take your measurements 3 or 4 times to avoid incorrect results.
